I dropped my car off this morning for some extensive paint and body work. Dennis Dablemont from Dablemont Body Shop, Inc. is going to fix the massive rust damage on the back hatch, replace the windshield, pound out some small dents, strip the original paint, apply fresh paint, and then clear coat the entire car.
You may be wondering why I would go to such great lengths for a car that is 16 years old. The simple reason is that I really like the car. It is fun to drive, it gets ~25mpg, runs well, and can hold my mountain bike. Hopefully the next 186,000 miles will be as good as the first.
